LOS ANGELES - A série on-line "House of cards" fez história nesta quinta-feira (18) ao ser pela primeira vez indicada a um Prêmio Emmy, o Oscar da TV americana, segundo relação de sua 65ª edição divulgada pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas.

Além disso, a brasileira Morena Baccarin foi indicada como melhor atriz coadjuvante pelo drama "Homeland".

"House of Cards", distribuída exclusivamente pelo serviço Netflix, se converteu no primeiro programa on-line a ser indicado para um prêmio de melhor série, apesar desses programas já serem elegíveis há sete anos.

Há exatamente 20 anos, segundo recordou a revista Variety, "The Larry Sanders Show", do canal pago HBO, foi o primeiro programa de televisão a cabo a ganhar uma indicação ao Emmy.
