Se tem uma coisa que roqueiro gosta quase tanto quanto rock é de fazer listas. As melhores músicas, os melhores álbuns, as melhores bandas... Uma brincadeira séria que antes tomava conta de revistas especializadas e agora se tornou uma constante em redes sociais.
Para celebrar o Dia Mundial do Rock, o Hoje em Dia convidou pessoas a participarem de um desafio: criarem a sua lista das dez maiores músicas do rock. Por que desafio? Pense no quanto é complicado para um roqueiro ter que escolher dez em meio a tantas pérolas do ritmo/movimento nascido há mais de 50 anos?
Para que a lista não deixasse de ter um tom de brincadeira, convidamos pessoas dos mais diferentes perfis: profissionais da música, jornalistas, pessoas ligadas ao universo da arte... e pessoal da redação do Hoje em Dia, claro!
Não foram estabelecidos critérios: cada um teve a liberdade de fazer como bem entendesse. Alguns preferiram as mais relevantes, outros as que mais emocionam. A cantora Kicila preferiu eleger apenas mulheres, enquanto o músico e engenheiro de som Lucas Mortimer lembrou de destaques da cena independente mineira, citando Diesel e Cartoon. Os integrantes da banda Scarcéus preferiram fazer juntos a lista.
Rolling Stones
A música mais citada entre as 50 listas é um dos rocks mais cantados, celebrados e dançados do mundo até hoje por roqueiros e não roqueiros: “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, dos Rolling Stones. A canção aparece 17 vezes. O grupo britânico é citado muitas outras vezes e está em 28 listas, sendo lembrado com “Gimme Shelter”, “Sympathy for the Devil” e outras.
Outra música bastante citada – 12 vezes – é “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, do Nirvana. Não que o grupo de Seattle seja o mais amado entre os participantes, mas é que, enquanto os roqueiros se dividem muito entre as várias opções de Beatles, Stones e Zeppelin, todo mundo sabe que apenas uma do Nirvana foi um completo marco dos anos 1990.
Os Beatles estão em 35 listas, com uma variedade grande de canções lembradas, enquanto o Led Zeppelin está em 32 (duas músicas foram para o Top 10). O Brasil também foi citado, com Raul Seixas, Os Mutantes, Legião Urbana e outros.
